Americans anger at Gywneth’s comments

Photo: PaltrowGywneth Paltrow held nothing back in bashing her birth country when asked by a European magazine about why she preferred London over America.

‘People don’t talk about work and money, they talk about interesting things at dinner.’

‘I like living here because I don’t fit into the bad side of American psychology. The British are much more intelligent and civilised than the Americans.’

But just a couple of years ago she was bashing everything British.

And two years ago she told the U.S. edition of Marie Claire that the streets of London were dirty, customer service was ‘just rubbish’ and the weather was ‘cold and depressing’.

Once she complained about the British weather. Another time she complained about British men.

As expected most of us Americans aren’t taking her comments too kindly.

‘If she feels that way we are far better off without her,’ said one commentator. A disgruntled caller added: ‘She sounds like she thinks she’s better than us.’

‘We are better off if she stays across the Atlantic. We don’t need her here.’

Paltrow must forget that Great Britain was so bad that everyone fled from there to sail for months to start a new life in America.  She is not the smartest quasi Brit to bash the U.S. considering Americans pay millions of dollars to attend her movies and suport her luxurious lifestyle.

She’s so fake I can’t stand her. I love Kathy Griffin’s impression of her on the red carpet acting all annoyed, lol. Maybe she needs to hang out with more intelligent people here in the states. I don’t recall her dining with Susan Sontag or anyone non Hollywood or outside the music industry.

  2. [...] Gwyneth Paltrow foams more clotted cream. Those Brits and their rich history. Sigh. (Bumpshack) [...]

Yeah, okay, but there’s no need to resent the British as a nation because she says stuff like that.
