Tom Ford Fashions His 'Single Man' Cast
Colin Firth, Matthew Goode and Julianne Moore will star
The industry trades say that Julianne Moore and Matthew Goode will also star in the independently produced adaptation of the Christopher Isherwood novel.
Firth will play a British college professor mourning the death of his long-time partner (Goode, who will appear in flashbacks). Over the course of one day in Los Angeles, the professor tries to keep his life together.
In addition to directing, Ford also adapted the script with David Scearce. Ford is best known for his wildly successful 10-year run as creative director at Gucci, as well as his eponymous fashion line.
Firth was most recently seen in the summer smash "Mamma Mia!," though for many fans he'll always be the star of the BBC "Pride and Prejudice."
Goode, whose credits include "Match Point" and "The Lookout," will next be seen in "Watchmen."
Moore, a four-time Oscar nominee, appeared in the early fall drama "Blindness."
