Spears and beau Casey Aldridge deny rumors of infidelity

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 10/9/08 – Jamie Lynn Spears, the 17-year-old actress and sister to Britney, claims she and her daughter’s father, Casey Aldridge, are in no hurry to set a wedding date. OK! magazine has continued its lucrative relationship with the Spears clan, releasing yet another interview with “Zoey 101” star saying the couple will remain engaged but unmarried.
“We are engaged, and we are really happy with where we are right now. There is no rush for anything,” Spears told the publication, adding that she and Aldridge wanted their infant child, Maddie, to be old enough to actively participate in the wedding ceremony.
“Some people think that you should just get married if you have a baby and you’re young,” Aldridge told OK! “I think you should try it out and see.”
As for allegations circulating in the media of infidelity on Aldridge’s part, the couple definitively denied the rumors, blaming them on Liberty, Miss. townies purportedly out for publicity.
“In a small town, everybody knows everybody. But, when money’s involved, you find out who your friends are,” Aldridge lamented, denying he cheated on Spears with two local friends and impregnated one of them.
“My family supports me, and they support Casey also,” said Spears. “They read those stories and take them with a grain of salt.”
Spears, the younger and only sister of pop megastar Britney, announced her pregnancy via an interview in OK! in December, at the age of 16. A few weeks after daughter Maddie’s June birth, Spears sold exclusive pictures of her child to the magazine for an alleged $1 million. She and Aldridge currently live together with Maddie in Liberty.
