Allmans Still Stuck in Long '70s Jam

The ultimate '70s band wants to get paid 2008 money.

The Allman Brothers Band woke up and discovered the kids were buying their tunes online and -- what's this? -- using them as their ringtones, and now they want their share of the jack. They allege in a Federal lawsuit they're the victims of "digital exploitation" by UMG Recordings and say they're due $13 million.

Most of the world was simply relieved that Gregg, Jaimoe, and Butch are still kickin' around.

3. Of course they're due their share. Why not? This brings back so many memories. I grew up in the 70's and 80's. Allman Bros. had great music. Glad they are still around.

6. The ddays of Southern rock were the best. I'd like to see a comeback of this kind of music. It's much more sophisticated compared to what mind numbing crap is pushed out these days.
