Jordin Sparks Holding True To Her Abstinence Promise

Jordin Sparks is continuing to keep her promise of abstinence and isn't afraid to talk about it. She joins Miley Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers in this movement of young celebrities being vocal about waiting to have sex until marriage.
"I don’t want to give away bits of my soul to lots of different guys - I want to give all of myself to the right man on the right night, and the right night is my wedding. "You can’t say for sure what’s going to happen in the next five years, but I really can’t see myself breaking my vow. "My family would never let me get out of line and run wild."
But that isn't stopping the American Idol alum from holding a few crushes. One being Mr. Chris Brown (yeah, get in line).Â
"Chris is so hot. I had a crush on him for a couple of years and, well, I still do. Rihanna came to the video shoot. I didn’t know they were dating - they were doing the ‘just good friends’ thing in the media - and I thought ‘Oooh, maybe I have a chance’. But it’s not to be. They are a sweet couple. I wish them all the best."

Why do they feel the need to talk about their (non-existent) sex live in public? Who cares if they want to "save" themselves or not? I just hope that all those girls who wait for the "right man" at the "right moment" ie their wedding night pick a man who does know what he's supposed to do in bed because they have to stay married to them for the rest of their lives (assuming that the reason for their waiting is a religious thing) and only sleep with that man. Poor girl, what if he can't get one up? LOL
I've oftened wondered why these celebs feel the need to talk about their non-existent sex life also. I'll bet most of them never make to their wedding night...especially Miley!
People with high standards always have a way of making other people annoyed. But we all have a choice right? I say "GO GIRL!"
I think she is talking about it because there are young kids that look up to her. I always encourage my daughter to hear things like this because it is ok to be a virgin. In a world full of sex, it is nice to hear someone talking about not having it. I do agree though that just because you are having sex doesn't mean you are going wild.
I agree with the above comments. Why the need to talk about such a private subject? Who cares already. Does it affect me as a person? No, it doesn't, so just can it.

Why am I seeing so many celebs wearing shoes that are at least one or two sizes too small? The "my toes are almost touching the ground in front of my shoes" is not an attractive look. I think Jessica Simpson had this going on in recent pictures and another young celeb, I have forgotten who.

I didn't know miley had the same vow LMAO... but anyways I say, If she's waitin and all, good for her, don't hate! But I do think that this young people need to promote safe sex and not abstinence because knowing how teens are this days, THAT is never going to happen so be realistic there's nothing wrong with sex as long as it's safe sex................
I can't believe what she said about having a crush on chris brown and how she was hoping to have a chance with him at the photo shoot. That's a pretty naive thing to say I don't think any woman wants to hear that someone who was working with their partner had the hots for them.
Did she really believe that Chris Brown would date her is she was waiting untill marriage? What I hate about this 'waiting untill marriage' thing is that it is often a sexist double standard. Jordin Sparks you are a true American Idol, by giving teens a good example to not have pre marital sex. Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus keep on rocking with your music and we appreciate that you guys are a good example for abstaining from sex.I know it is hard for you guys to show the world that you are hot, but still staying with your morals.Deep down inside we all want to look cool,but having sex before marriage is not one of the ways to show the world that you are cool. Show biz can sometimes bring you down, but you just have to pull yourself right up. I wish you Jordin Sparks, Jonas Brothers, and Miley Cyrus all the best and God be with you so you can stay true to your morals.
