Jodie Sweetin became a first-time mom when daughter Zoie was born on April 12.

It’s a true feat for the Full House star who was in rehab for addiction to crystal meth just three years ago.

“I’m very lucky to have made it through to the other side,” she tells People’s next issue, out Friday. There are days, she says, “that I don’t think about it at all. It’s always there, but it’s not looming over my head like it was.”

She wed Zoie’s babydaddy, film transportation coordinator Codie Herpin, in July.

How did she get a cover? I mean im not knocking her on her looks or anything, i just mean shes not really famous anymore.

just wondering with addictions how would meth compare to alcohol?

Good for her. People know that the general public always want to hear a “bad girl gone good” story so im assuming thats why she got the cover. her baby is gorgeous, as are all babies.

I wish they didn’t have to mention that she was addicted. She’s obviously in a different chapter of her life now and her or the magazine should stop reminding people about it, it will only bring criticism to her parenting skills in my opinion. Good for her for overcoming addiction and finding new meaning to her life in her cute little baby!

Stephi, sadly that is the only way she would get the cover with her baby, and People is famous for that. They don’t want a baby cover unless it is a A list celeb, or a celeb who’s overcome something.
But good for Jodie, glad she’s kicked that nasty habit. She and the baby are really cute!

People has really gone downhill fast…they used to be decent but now they’re pretty much just another tabloid.

I’m not sure how she landed the cover either but I am glad that she readily admits that her addiction issues still exist, even though she’s not using. She seems to be a great deal more aware that she’s vulnerable to going back to her old ways than a lot of “celebrities” (assuming she still counts as a celebrity). I wish she and her family all the best!!

With addictions to anything, the hardest part is keeping yourself completely away from the people, places and situations that contribute to your using. Which means that you can no longer hang out at your favorite place and have to dissappear from people you may have considered friends. Its difficult and pretty simple at the same time. You can’t do it unless you give yourself access to it. I think that quitting all of the above is so much harder than the giving up of the drug part. And, yes, I know what I am talking about. I think alcohol is actually harder to give up because its so much easier to get anywhere, everywhere. Not just in bars and liquor stores.
