Rosie's Vow Of Silence

Rosie O'Donnell recently turned down an invitation from Oprah Winfrey to appear on her talk show to promote her upcoming memoir, Celebrity Detox.

At the time, O'Donnell's publicist said, "Rosie has always been booked with Diane [Sawyer]. We gracefully declined Oprah’s offer. I’m sure Rosie will do Oprah’s show another time.”

Rosie herself wrote this blog post recently about the Oprah incident.

Well, now O'Donnell has cancelled on Diane Sawyer!

Why?

Her publicist is now saying, "The book is a very personal snapshot of a certain time in Rosie's life, and she felt she bared her soul on those pages. She feels people should read the book and take away from it what they will. She does not want to do any interviews."

And there you have it.

We're sure Rosie will talk about it (at least a bit) on her blog, though.

    She knows she's going to get a lot of flack about what she wrote about other people and she doesn't want to deal with being cornered by Oprah, Diane or anyone else. She has enough wealth and celebrity to just put out a book and not promote it. Pretty simple.
