It’s All About the Little Things In Life
While at a press conference in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico, Colombian singer Juanes talked about the little things in life that win his heart over and how sometimes we must get lost along the way in order to find one’s self again.
¿Que enamora a Juanes? A mí me enamoran muchas cosas, pero la simpleza me enamora por ejemplo, la sencillez, la sonrisa, la tranquilidad del mar, las montañas, la vida me enamora, incluso lo difícil también es bueno porque te pone en un lugar y te enseña.
What is that wins the heart of Juanes over? I fall in love with a lot of things, but it is simplicity that wins me over. For example, the naturalness of things, a smile, the tranquility of the sea, the mountains; life enamors me, even the difficult is good because it puts you in a place and you learn [from it].
¿Qué aprendiste de todo lo que paso en tu vida personal? Lo más importante es reconocer los errores. A veces en la vida hay que perderse para volver a encontrase. Lo que hay que entender es que el amor se transforma con el tiempo, a lo mejor uno tiene que madurar con esa transformación. Siempre aprende de los errores, bueno, no es que sean errores, son cosas necesarias que pasan.
What did you learn from all that has happened in your personal life? Most importantly is recognizing one’s errors. Sometimes in life one has to lose themselves in order to find themselves again. What must be understood is that love transforms itself with time; perhaps one must mature with the transformation. Always learn from mistakes, well, it’s not that they are errors, so much as necessary things that must happen.
I commend Juanes for being a man that lives to learn and love. We could all learn something from this. Sometimes the bad just really isn’t as bad as we think.
