Jah CureAfter serving an 8 year prison term, Jah Cure, one of the most controversial and propelling forces in reggae was released on July 28th, 2007. In the next couple of months, Jah Cure anticipates many positive turns towards the future.

Shortly after stepping out of confinement, Jah Cure faced worldwide media attention at his official press conference in Kingston, Jamaica. Journalists from the BBC, The Los Angeles Times and Billboard Magazine were just a few of the major media outlets that attended the exclusive affair. On July 31st, VP Records released his pivotal album 'True Reflections...A New Beginning,' featuring all his recent hits, such as, "True Reflections," "Longing For" and "Dem Nuh Build Great Man," as well as new tune, "To Your Arms of Love," which is already beginning to chart in Jamaica. The album is "a pitch-perfect showcase of his compelling, emotionally charged vocal style," according to Village Voice.

Soon Jah Cure will spread his sound in the flesh at one of his selective stage shows. His first scheduled performance is at the Sundance Music Festival in Holland on August 12th. Then through October 12th-15h on the North Coast of Jamaica, Jah Cure will set foot on what is considered to be one of the most anticipated and emotional stage shows in reggae history, The Curefest. The goal of this 3-day event is to celebrate Jah Cure's freedom, give thanks for life and spread love and unity through his music. The bill will feature a number of cultural and dancehall artists as well as the man himself. Also word has circulated that Jah Cure will appear at NYC's Reggae Carifest on Aug 25th, but he and his management have denied this statement.

"I don't know anything about me performing at Carifest or Irie Jam. I am going to Holland to get a chance to go in front of a large crowd and prepare myself for Curefest. I want to make sure I'm ready to present myself to my Jamaican fans in October. If anyone wants to see me perform a full length show, they will have to come to Curefest in October," Jah Cure states.
