Following the news of the Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams breakup, Michelle looked anything but dismal. She was all smiles as she was spotted out and about in Brooklyn yesterday, showing off her new dark locks.

A source close to the couple told US Weekly just days earlier that Heath and Michelle “quietly and amicably split a few weeks ago.”

“The relationship had been rocky recently. They tried very hard to make it work but finally decided to separate. They just grew apart.”

Maybe it’s true what they say. You really can wash that man right outta your hair.
